"Süßes Hotel - auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen"

Lage ist Top. Schön direkt am Hafen gelegen. Frühstück ist separat zu bezahlen, aber den Preis wert (war ausreichend, liebevoll hergerichtet, mit allem was man braucht und mehr) Stil des Hotels ist sehr einladend und gemütlich. Das Personal äußerst nett und zuvorkommend.

Die Zimmer sind ein bisschen klein (stehr aber auch so in der Beschreibung). Haben ein Upgrade auf ein Premiumzimmer bekommen, das mehr Platz hat. In einem Standardzimmer wäre es vermutlich sehr eng gewesen.

"High priced but luxurious-feeling."

Breakfast was creatively served. Facilities were exceptionally clean and comfortable. Fun to see the harbor so close.

Both the breakfast and the room cost seemed very high, compared to any others so far on our 2 week Iceland trip.

Das Hótel Egilsen in Stykkishólmur ist ein kleines, aber feines Haus. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück gibt es nicht in Buffetform, sondern wird am Tisch serviert: Unbedingt bei der Ankunft für den nächsten Morgen bestellen, das Frühstück ist einfach fantastisch!!

"Go for the boutique, stay for the showerhead!"

Easily the best shower we had in Iceland! Power shower rain overhead was fantastic! Room was lovely. We knew it would be small, which was okay. Very much lives up to “boutique.” We had nice view of the harbor area. Walkable to almost anything in Stykkishólmur. We ate at the Nesbraud bakery as well as Skipper, both great and walkable from hotel. Super windy the first day we were there! We loved walking around both days, including the hike up the island straight ahead. The bar from Walter Mitty is right next door and that whole area was a Mecca for many young Chinese tourists while we were there, taking many many pictures and videos around there. Fun to watch!

We knew the stairs would be tight. There was some road noise since it’s on a corner but nothing that interfered with sleep. We didn’t do the $$$ breakfast but it looked lovely.
