"A charming hotel in the heart of town."

Stayed over in Hotel Karolina across the street which had larger rooms, very nice upstairs room with views to kill for. Great breakfast - dinner in Sjávarpakkhúsið, in my view one of the the best restaurants in Iceland. Great staff.

Room in Egilsen was very small, but atmospheric, but as we were offered the other room/hotel (without asking) it didn’t matter.

Lovely old house beautifully converted to 10 bedrooms. Friendly, helpful staff made us feel at home there. Nice cold breakfast ready prepared to suit our schedule.

Bin not emptied during 4 day stay. Some local walking maps and information would be appreciated.
