We had a great weekend at Bohi Daylesford. The pool and tennis court was a hit with our kids and the backdrop of the country was lovely. The cabin was cute and clean.

The only thing was we couldnt connect to the TV so it would have been good to have it working for the kids.

Two big bedrooms

The crockery is far too high as I couldn’t reach the top shelf. Also crockery thick and heavy. Not pleasant

nothing to not like

Location was great, just a few minutes out of town. The gardens were very pretty and well maintained. The provision of a pool, tennis court outdoor seating areas was fabulous. Would be great spot to rent all the cabins for a family getaway.

It had everything you would need. I loved the coffee machine and the fireplace was all set up ready to be lit upon arrival. The swing on the porch, the bbq, the basketball courts and tennis were perfect foe my boys. It was so close. safe and secure and just perfect for us 4.

Being a country area I probably should have expected it but we had a major ant problem that took me 1 1/2 hours to clean up. I worked out it was because I left the window slightly open as there was no exhaust fan in kitchen. I purchased ant rod and baits and this helped. We got it down to a reasonable level. Also thought a lock on the bathroom door would have been nice. Felt there was not enough firewood available as it was 1 degree in the evenings.

The location was lovely, situated in the bush, and close to Daylesford

The information about the woodheater was very misleading. They had told us prior to arrival that enough wood was supplied for our stay (3 nights). However, when we arrived there was a note beside the woodheater saying that there was only enough wood to burn for 4 hours for each day of your stay (a small basket full), and then you had to buy more from Daylesford if you wanted the heater going more than that. The wood provided was also damp and would not burn properly (we have had woodheaters for more than 50 years so we know enough about wood and how to use the heater efficiently). It was very cold during our stay and we had to have all of the electric heaters in the house on the whole time to keep warm.
