Lang Chai Hotel

Le patron est sympa (attention, c'est le seul qui parle anglais), les chambres sont spacieuses et propres. Pas de petit dej.

Il y a un problème majeur : la vue. Sur les photos, tout parait bien, vue sur la mer ... mais ce n'est pas le cas voici ce que l'on voit depuis la fenêtre de ma chambre (photo prise assis sur mon lit) ! Sur tout le front de mer, il y a une construction gigantesque, un espèce de parc d'attraction à la chinoise, c'est moche, bruyant et ça brille de partout .... En l'État, il m'est impossible de recommander cet hôtel ...

The beds and shower were ok.

There's so much to say, I don't know where to begin. Let's start with the fact that it's the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. I don't understand the Vietnamese obsession with YELLING at absolutely everything. Our room had a good view, which was supposed to be nice, but there was construction going on across the street, so I forgot about getting the lake view because you couldn't see anything. The windows in the room are very thin, and all the street noise can be heard at all hours. Also, in the room in front of us we had neighbors who were noisy at ALL hours, yelling and yelling without stop (obviously, they were vietnamese), slamming doors so loud it felt like theirs would break, and coming back in the middle of the night to start yelling and smoking in the hallway. Let's move on to breakfast: Poor, the bread is the cheapest in the supermarket, things are tasteless, and obviously when you're having breakfast at 7 in the morning before go on your excursion and you want silence and quiet because you're having breakfast on vacation, the employees pass by shouting in your ear and making a lot of noise.

Great value room for a short stay. The bed was hard but comfortable for me. Shower had a door but it did not prevent overflow which made the whole bathroom wet. Friendly staff, fine basic breakfast (choice of 1 dish) but I wouldn’t recommend the crepes. Located right on the main strip in Cat Ba. Easy access to lots of food options & a little market

I had a great experience at this hotel! The rooms are spacious, clean and especially the sea view is extremely beautiful, opening the window you can enjoy the cool breeze from the sea. Friendly staff, always ready to support whenever needed. The breakfast is diverse, delicious, very suitable to recharge for a day of exploring the island. The hotel is also close to the attractions so it is very convenient to move around.
