Gästehaus Hohe Tannen

The property is a typical Bavarian house located walking distance from the center. The room had a good size and well ventilated with a view to the mountains. A grocery store is about 600 mtr away. Claudia was nice and helped get a taxi on my way out.

The shower was very clogged and because of that it had residuos of soap or something on the floor. The check in time is very restricted (only 1.5 hr per day).

Unser Zimmer hatte teilweise wie Löcher in Böden was sehr unangenehm war zum drauf laufen. Unsere Couch hatte ein Loch was einfach nur mit Fell verdeckt wurde, die Matratzen waren extrem durchgelegen und wir haben beide einen Ausschlag bekommen wegen irgendwas im Zimmer. Für fed was wir gezahlt haben und das was wir bekommen haben fand ich das wirklich sehr sehr schade

Ontbijt was uitstekend.

The Worst Stay of Our Lives We stayed here for two nights in May 2026 and paid almost €190 per night, including taxes. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The room was not as clean as we expected for the price paid. While this alone would not have ruined our stay, it was the beginning of a series of unpleasant experiences. From the first day, we found the communication from the female host to be unwelcoming. For example, we were reminded that drinks in the refrigerator had to be paid for, even though this was already clearly indicated by signs. The tone of the interaction made us feel uncomfortable rather than welcomed. The biggest disappointment came at breakfast. Breakfast was advertised as a buffet, but for three guests we were initially offered only five Brötchen (bread rolls). When we politely asked for one more, the request was refused in a very aggressive tone. Later, bread that appeared to be left over from another table was offered instead. We found this unacceptable, especially for a breakfast advertised as a buffet, and left without finishing breakfast. During our stay, we also felt there was a noticeable difference in the way communication was handled with another family, who appeared to be local, compared with us as international guests. This was our personal impression, but it contributed to us feeling unwelcome. The final incident occurred during checkout after we explained that we were not satisfied with our stay. The male host approached us aggressively and accused us of taking water from the breakfast area after breakfast hours. The issue concerned me filling my water bottle from a container of normal tap water in the breakfast area on the previous day. The area was accessible at the time, and there was no indication that taking water was prohibited. At no point before or after the incident were we informed of any restriction regarding the water.
