Great hosts,great location, in the middle of town,but still quiet and peaceful! If you stay there,please ask them to make dinner, Mark is a fantastic chef! Safe place for families,couples or solo travelers!

very good stay with Karen and Mark. Big dinnner and breakfast. Good sleep. Wakkerstroom is a nice little place. Very good for a stopover from St Lucia to Johannesburg.

The quaint little town, the friendly hosts, the sizzling hot fire going in the lounge, the electric blankets and heater in the bathroom, boiling hot water, warm water bottles and flask with boiling water ready for coffee and hot water bottles due to town electricity being off, etc.

We loved everything. It was just a pity that the specific day of our arrival, the towns electricity was off from 7am that morning and only came back on after 8. We wanted to go eat out, because of the electricity (and thus a water issue), the hotel was nit able to offer any food. Luckily I had bread, cold meat and cheese in our cooler that we could prepare at candle light. I am sure the owners would have offered food if we asked. The situation was out of the hosts control & they went out of their way to make us comfortable.
