Rowton Castle

Staff and hotel were lovely.. clean quaint cosy and comfortable accommodation.. food and service were excellent and piping hot and extremely good quality.. loved the ambiance and relaxed atmosphere

I visited with my family for my birthday, and it was a perfect night away from start to finish, the receptionist Johan, and her colleagues were so friendly and helpful, taking family photos for us, and the accommodation was just amazing, the food was delicious we all loved it and can’t wait to book it again ☺️

We stayed after Glastonbury on our way home and we loved the castle !! We felt very fancy. The staff were so so lovely. The breakfast was fast and tasty and peaceful. The water pressure in the taps and shower were so SO good, better than at home !!

Well the floorboards squeak a little but that’s to be expected in an old building !

Nothing to dislike although bed would have been nice bit bigger

Food was great and the hotel itself and grounds were great and well maintained.

The front of house staff on arrival was not helpful, when we saw our room we asked for a change, she advised that all rooms were taken, this we believe was not the case, judging by the lack of cars in the car park and that other rooms were available when we booked. No suggestion of a reduction in price, I stay at hotels every other week and this room was the worst I have ever seen. The food was excellent and all other staff were first class. The short sighted approach when you have guest unhappy to not accept the complaint and offer an upgrade or some form of reduction, this failure means that we will not be staying again.

A beautiful castle with stunning surroundings. The staff were all wonderful too and nothing was too much trouble.
