B&B Del Teatro

Location was amazing, quiet, very close to parking, and yet also right in centre of beautiful Sulmona.

Old building with radiators that worked, but it was still a bit too cold inside. Note: I stayed in December during a snow storm so probably to be expected. I sat wrapped in a blanket to read a book which was cosy.

The host and hostess were so kind; those whose Italian isn't perfect, their English is. The location is perfect. It is minutes from the hub but on a tranquil side street. The bed was comfortable, and the hot shower was great. Coffee, juice, milk, cereal and little cakes were provided. Classic charm in a wonderful setting.

I really can't find anything to dislike about B&B Del Teatro. I hope to return.

Very cramped and no views. Cigarette smoke coming inside when windows open. Very basic breakfast. Sheets badly fitted on the bed. Awful grey thread bare towels. No where to sit outside

Nice and central close everything Sulmona has to offer. Attentive hosts very clean and homely.

The stairs unfortunately but we did know in advance about them.

Position was great, very close to the square. Well equipped

Only problem , like many old towns , is the lack of parking. We parked about 700m away.

This charming property, located in the bustling city center, offers easy access to nearby amenities. It seamlessly combines old-world charm with modern comforts, featuring preserved flooring from the past alongside contemporary amenities. The overall experience is cozy and welcoming, making it a delightful home away from home.

Some guests may find the bed slightly uncomfortable as it is either a queen size, comprised of two single beds pushed together, which can be less than ideal when finding yourself in the center of the bed.

Everything!! It felt like my family had sent me a key to their place while they went away for a week. Not that there were personal belongings all around but the feel was like suddenly being in one's own home. The kitchen/ dining room was absolutely sweet and easy to enjoy a meal as if it was at home. The little kitchen part was very small but easy to use and equipped. The bathroom was large enough and the little balcony looked out on a postcard small town street scene I won't soon forget. Right across the narrow road was the theater and one night we enjoyed a concert there and walked the 20 steps home smiling, to our little apartment. The woman whose place it is welcomed us warmly but we didn't see her again until it was time to leave. She spoke English well enough to show us all around, upon our arrival, but I get the feeling that her English is a bit limited to that. I will hope to stay there every time I visit Sulmona. I think Booking's reviews were accurate!! Location was optimal!!!!

I'm stumped to think of anything i didn't like. Perhaps if someone is expecting totally glamorous and shiny new facilities, they'll be disappointed. Everything is perfectly working and obviously new fixtures are in the bathroom. But, if one chooses to stay in the old town, this place is exactly what you'd hope for!
