"Great out of town place to stay for Hay literary festival. Welcoming and comfortable."

Tony and Julie were friendly and welcoming. Created a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Delicious food for dinner. Nice cooked breakfast. Comfortable beds.

Fruit at breakfast would have been appreciated. Fan in the bathroom didn't seem to work and would have been appreciated.

Outstanding food and such lovely hosts, so relaxed and welcoming. Loved it!

The floors are quite creaky and walls quite thin which means you can hear people moving around at night!

"The perfect location to explore the local beautiful Welsh countryside."

It is the only pub / hotel in the area, so there was not much choice when we booked. But the staff are all very friendly and the food was delicious.

The pub bar was very quiet in the evening. It is a shame that more of the locals were not in the pub when we visited.
