Poseidon Guest House

The hosts were extremely kind and supportive. When I became unwell, the lady of the house personally came with me to the pharmacy to make sure I received the correct medication, which I really appreciated. Her husband speaks very good English, which made communication and arranging things very easy. The room was clean and comfortable, and I paid extra for air conditioning which worked well.

Initially there was no access to air conditioning, which meant the room had a noticeable moisture smell. The swimming pool was not working during my stay despite being advertised. There was no meal service other than breakfast, although takeaway could be arranged on request.

The host Wilson was so lovely and welcoming. Came to pick me up from the airport even though the house was round the corner. Very friendly stay, and he even had English breakfast teabags which I was missing on my travels.

Lovely couple that runs the place. Even ordered dinner for me so I could rest, and paid for it in local currency and just let me add it to my bill in the end.

Our host Wilson was awesome and the best host we have ever come across. He could not do enough for us, from picking us up at the airport late at night, to making us a late supper after our long trip from the Amazon to taking us to the airport early morning. He made sure we were comfortable, had hot water for a well needed shower and gave us hot water for a lovely cuppa. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed. We had a large standing fan and fresh towels and toiletries. The location for the airport is excellent. I would highly recommend staying at Poseidon where you will have a warm welcome not only by Wilson, but also his lovely dog and cat.

The property is very close to the airport making it very convenient. It was large, clean and comfortable and Wilson is a magnificent host!
