The Dormer House

Love the room. Love the outstanding housekeeping. Breakfast needs work with more healthy options. Odd lack of any sense of ownership, our first experience with a "corporate" B&B. Personal touches are gone since place was sold. We stayed here twice before the sale.We will probably go back as we love the room and quiet location. Parking is easy too.

Perfect long weekend to Cape May! We stayed on 3rd floor in the Antique Rose room. It was spacious and cozy. I love quaint charm of old Victorian homes and this did not disappoint. The breakfasts and coffee on the porch each morning were perfect ways to start the day. Parking was a breeze. Quick walk to bustle of town or the beach. I hope to be back!

We loved our stay in the Antique Rose room. It was on the 3rd floor but stairs are no issue for us. Room was spacious and comfortable. Pillows could have been better, but I would do best traveling with my own because this is usually an issue. The breakfast and seating area were lovely, coffee was good, and staff was attentive. Great location and parking was so easy.

Cozy B&B in the heart of Victorian Cape May. Easy 5 minute walk to the beach or the shops. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and served either in the enclosed porch, or in our case, on the open porch. Will definitely stay here again.

The quietness and the walkability of the location, the parking lot at this B&B as well as the charming porch breakfast room and the breakfasts were a plus, including the servers. But there is no breakfast until 8:30. We liked and used the small fridge in the room. Can't recommend anything else. This B&B is not for those of us who are elderly and do not want to be concerned with tackling the uneven walkway and especially the stairways. House needs better maintenance...like cleaning (especially sticky-fingers on doors and furniture), updated painting, more and updated electric outlets (I was glad I had brought an extension cord for my laptop which, unfortunately, required that we had to move a heavy bed in order plug it in) and updated lamps (unless you like them rickety and dim), locks on the windows in our room and bathroom, window shades (not darkening) in addition to the provided darkening curtains (we couldn't have any privacy during the daytime unless we used those darkening curtains). Water took a long time to heat up. Not enough places to put toiletries and hang things up in the tiny bathroom. Better quality mattresses, pillows, and towels are also needed.

Central location, friendly people, and excellent breakfasts. Would recommend for a weekend visit or longer!

Nancy and Angie were so gracious. The Dormer House is in a great location, is quite comfortable, and has wonderful breakfasts. I would definitely go back!

I very much enjoyed my stay. My room was lovely with a very comfortable bed and all the amenities you could anticipate. I highly recommend this B&B and would gladly return. However the next time I'd request a room on the lower floor to avoid climbing an additional flight of stairs.

The location is excellent with great access to beach and town. The street is quiet and the homes in the area are beautiful. The service was great. The hotel needs some TLC- there were even some small things that could be done to improve it. There was peeling paint on the ceiling and rust around radiators. Walls would have hooks and no paintings. The decor has not been updated in a long time. So overall a good experience that could have been made great with some attention to detail and basic maintenance.
