The New White Lion

The hosts were truly first-class, and nothing was too much trouble. A few days before our arrival, they messaged us with dining suggestions and handled the reservations for us. Since we aren’t early risers, they kindly arranged a delicious continental breakfast at 11 am, complete with pastries, coffee, and fresh juice. This boutique accommodation is easily five-star. Our room was luxurious, featuring high-end white linens and thoughtful extras like complimentary chocolates, biscuits, specialty teas, and even hot water bottles. The bathroom was equally impressive, stocked with premium products from brands like Clarins. We were also surprised to find a cozy sitting room with a well-stocked honesty bar, plus free coffee, tea, homemade cakes, and snacks available throughout the day. To make up for us skipping the standard breakfast time, the hosts even invited us for a complimentary evening drink. The hosts are charming, have thought of every detail, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

I can't think of anywhere better we've stayed in a long long time. The level of service that Mark & Karen provide is second to none. They went out of their way to ensure everything was spot on. So many nice touches, that made our two night stay a delight.

Couldn't fault this place at all.

Breakfast was excellent. Other guests very friendly. The town is historic. Meals at two local pubs were very good and everybody very friendly.

The weather was bad so unfortunately didn't show the town at its best.

Mark and Karen were great hosts. Really friendly, happy to help (above and beyond our expectations), knowledgeable about the area and history of the building. The breakfasts were outstanding and the homebaked treats in the lounge were a lovely extra. A really relaxing stay with thre right combination of luxury and home comforts. Ideally placed for exploring the town, nearby countryside or the Brecon beacons.

Amazing hotel where everything exceeded our expectations, Mark and Karen were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble (even dippy eggs for breakfast). The breakfast was fantastic with such a varied choice. We even had a flask of tea and fresh pastries for our walks. We are already planning a return trip here.

The owners were grate very welcoming and the room was lovely ,bed was very comfortable the hole place was spotless and food very good
