A beautiful location and very close to Madrid. Our room was a suite (we were accommodated there as there was work being done to the property) and it was so peaceful and tranquil with open views across the country. it has the feel of a game reserve (but with hares and birds to watch!) The room was stunning as well, very clean, quirky and comfortable. we had a huge terrace with an outside bath. They even provided a bath bomb. The communal gardens are also lovely. The pool was empty as it was out of season but that would be perfect when the weather is hotter, although we had perfect spring weather. The indoor areas were also really artistic and unusual, loved the breakfast room. the best part was we were visiting family in San Agustin de Guadalix and we could walk down the track to get there.

nothing. We knew it was a little remote and up a well maintained track, so nothing in the direct surroundings, but that made it more peaceful. There is a garden centre directly next door where you can get drinks and there are facilities for children there. I personally would like mugs for hot drinks, but that is not very Spanish so I understand the tiny coffee cups were more typical.
