Loku. Tainan

We loved our spacious zen room w/ retro Taiwanese touches at this boutique hotel. It was thoughtfully designed and had a nice bathroom and very comfortable bed. The location is picturesque and close to lots of food and drink options but nice and quiet at night. The host is exceptional - so kind and helpful. She gave us wonderful local recommendations and helped us with many things including calling a taxi for us and storing our luggage. We can’t wait to return to this hotel next time we are in Tainan.

A lovely stay at Loku Tainan

Everything was amazing. The street is so beautiful, it makes you feel like you traveled in time. It's very quiet and picturesque. The room was spotless, really pretty - even nicer than the pictures. Everything looks so traditional, but at the same time it's all comfy. The owner is very friendly and gave us a ton of suggestions where to eat, what to see etc. She is excellent at communicating and makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Tainan. There are a few cute little bars right by the hotel, and the famous Shenong street is about 10 minutes away on foot. The description of the hotel says that no toiletries are provided, but they actually provide hand wash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom.

In a really good location in an old traditional house. We loved the hip bath and the over all style of the place!

The location and surrounding area are beautiful. And the host gave us some perfect tips to experience Tainan's most fun and characteristic places.

The host Emily was very welcoming and friendly. She greeted us upon arrival and provided a lot of useful info for exploring the city.

As it is an older property there is no lift. Harder to carry the suitcases upstairs

Loved the location of this small hotel (I think only 4 rooms?) next to one of the old brick “gates” of Tainan. It is on a quiet alley that also has both a great restaurant down the block and a super cool bar juste a few doors down. There is also a temple down the street as well which is always fun to check out. The room was spacious and AC nice and cooling for July. I loved the many interior design details and the light from the many windows of the room. Yes the stairs are a bit steep but it is an old building and unless you constantly go in and out it wasn’t an issue.
