Clovelly Cottage - Cosy Metung Escape

Great location. Beautiful garden setting. Very quiet.

The bed was a little uncomfortable.

The property is in a good location with beautiful gardens and sea view. The cottage has all the amenities we required and a good comfortable bed.

Quiet and comfortable

No breakfast was available, but the location was fantastic. If you needed breakfast, you could cook it yourself in the well set up kitchen area. If not, it was only a short 300 metre walk to the Aroma coffee shop where delicious food was served. The nearby Metung Hotel served delicious meals; that is apart from the Veal Schnitzel. The staff agreed with me, and couldn't have been nicer, so I highly recommend walking the 300 metres to enjoy dinner. Clovelly's host, Kerrie needs to be complimented in giving us our privacy. If she hadn't come out initially to say hello, we would never have known they were there. Their 2 dogs, Cadbury & Chester, were incredibly respectful. Especially liked the comfy bed, hot shower and plenty of room for the 2 of us and our 2 small dogs.

My concerns are very petty however, I feel they would make a huge difference. Fortunately, we didn't need to use the fire as no wood was provided. We did receive a message on our way advising us to purchase some but that was too late for us. After a long drive, a couple of nights of wood would be very welcome. Then, once we settled in, we would be happy to buy more. Similar to the spa, no bubbles were provided, so the spa was perceived as a 'token'. Lastly, and probably the most relevant, the shower 'shelf' was useless as everything slid off. My suggestion would be to remove this shelf and replace it with a simple twin shower gel and shampoo container. Sometimes, little things mean a lot. This would be a huge improvement. Despite my minor gripes, they would not prevent me staying there again. I would highly recommend Clovelly Cottage to anyone I meet.

All of it! The location, how beautiful the property was,having your own space but free to use the gardens.

Emails a bit confusing regarding the keys. No coffee pods (finally found one). Opening and shutting the gate a bit of a pain.
