It was an exceptional stay, felt like stay in amazing museum, astonishing views, home like care and atmosphere, Isabelle made it with telling the history of her palace special. Absolute wow stay.

Absolutely outstandingly beautiful villa, with amazing tranquility and beautiful views

Up a massive hill and being on a motorbike it was challenging especially when the satnav sent us up a locked off very steep road

Fantastic building an impressive family home with interesting history and artefacts, great views over Livorno and the sea, near the Funicular, Sanctuary and a couple of restaurants. Scenic walk possibilities. Secure parking. Sumptuous beautifully laid out breakfast. Very kind and helpful yet discrete host. Outside Terrace with bbq and fridge. Livorno promenades beaches town and ferry port all minutes away; Pisa Lucca St Gimignano Florence etc. within reach.

Not a problem as such but access route to the gates is worth knowing in advance due to one way system for the narrow hill streets a short distance up from the main road.

"Spectacular Views in Livorno"

Really nice old villa with spectacular views. The common room has a lot of character. Isabella is wonderful. The village of Montenero just up the hill is quite nice.

There are a lot of stairs, so be in decent physical condition .
