Villa Sierra

Beautiful and just like the photos, great hosts and would love to stay again!

What a wonderful experience, from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by the host who helped us with our luggage (with face shield and gloves). The villa was beautifully prepared and we appreciated the fresh eggs, veggies and food that was available after a long cross country flight + 2 hr drive. My mother and I were travelling for my brother's funeral, and the kindness and hospitality was a blessing. We had the whole back deck overlooking the chicken coup and garden, and plenty of indoor space. We were so busy during our brief stay that we didn't have time to grocery shop or dine locally, so we were so appreciative of the loaded fridge and freezer (very reasonably priced items). We would love to return for a longer stay and to enjoy Senora and local areas (when covid 19 is not an issue) I highly recommend this sweet spot! Just be careful if your traveling with physically impaired, there are several steps to navigate to get down from the road.

The place was nice and clean. The host was very attentive to our needs. When we checked in we got welcoming tour of the place and fresh eggs for breakfast. All communication with the host were quick and productive. I would definitely recommend this place and already told my friends about it.

Absolutely incredible stay! The house was comfortable and spacious, and very clean. The hosts were so kind to us, showed us around the property (and used PPE), offered us fresh eggs and vegetables from their chickens/garden, and had a plethora of for-purchase snacks and drinks in the house (at an extremely reasonable price too). The house is wonderfully decorated, quiet, with a lovely patio to sit outside and enjoy nature. The patio itself has a grill and chairs/tables, etc. Basically anything you could want in a home is available here. We used the house as a “home base” between San Francisco, Yosemite, Rainbow Pools (recommenced to us by the host), and King’s Canyon.

Amazing Stay! You know the stay is good when your wanting to extend it and not go home. Everything about this Villa is awesome even down to the staff. If you need a getaway with some nature therapy or just a slow down to recharge the battery’s THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO.

This is a 5 stars villa! you like nature and elegance? then this place is for you. Decorated with passion and care, and in the middle of nature. Don't forget to ask the host to show you their little organic farm and learn how they decorated this beautiful gem. Lots to learn from these wonderful hosts. Every corner tells an art story!

Stayed 3 days/2 nights at this beautiful location. Amazing view, friendly and accommodating host. We had an entire house to ourselves for less than most hotels. Full kitchen made staying in not only easy, but extremely pleasant. Gorgeously furnished with more than enough space to feel comfortable, relaxed, and right at home. Looking forward to coming back!

We really enjoyed a mountain getaway to Sonora. This home was a little oasis off the beaten track of Hwy 49 that gave us easy access to caving, Calaveras Big Trees and golf was great. It’s was as beautifully designed inside as the pictures showed, we did not spend time outdoors... the hosts were very kind and welcoming. We would stay here again.

Very charming get away that offers privacy in the heart of a natural, foothill community. Areas outside to sit and listen to the birds, watch squirrels and see the resident cat, Pierre, play. One minute drive away is a bustling, early American gold rush town with numerous sights to see, shops, restaurants and mixed drink/wine or beer options.

A wonderful and relaxing stay at Villa Sierra in a beautiful setting. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and provided amenities to serve all our needs.
