Great location, lovely room, coffee machine was excellent.

The host was lovely and very welcoming, and I have to give credit where it's due – the bed was really comfortable, so I had high hopes for a good night's sleep.

Unfortunately, that's where the peace ended. My room overlooked the car park, so the "view" consisted of parked cars and a front-row seat to people standing outside smoking. As for soundproofing... I'm fairly certain the walls and floors were made of tissue paper. I was treated to the full upstairs live performance: floorboards creaking like they were auditioning for a horror film, every toilet flush, conversations, someone being sick, and yes... even the occasional fart. I now know more about the upstairs guest's digestive system than I ever wanted to. If you've ever wondered what it's like to sleep underneath a herd of elephants wearing clogs while listening to a surround-sound bathroom soundtrack, this is probably as close as you'll get. Great host and comfy bed, but unless you're a champion sleeper or enjoy unexpected midnight sound effects, you might want to pack some industrial-strength earplugs.
