Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Jederzeit wieder. Sehr nettes Personal.

Das Hotel liegt zentral Im Zentrum von Zittau. Schöne Zimmer, prima Frühstücksangebot. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Leider ist es zu Straße hin nachts sehr laut...aber das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr schön und liebevoll gewählt.

Situation ok - in walking distance to the old town as well as to the station of the old steamed narrow-gauge railway. Breakfast ok as well with a variety of food. Coffee was good but we weren't offered more than a little coffeepot - no staff appeared after we sat down for breakfast. Nice breakfast room but with sticky floor around the buffet. Scrambled and fried eggs had been prepared but were even quite cold when we were the first at breakfast early in the morning. There is the possibility to sit in the backyard for dinner. The restaurant à la carte serves delicious food. We had very tasty and well prepared tarte flambée "Flammkuchen" and a typical local dish. Great beer and friendly service and an amuse-gueule. But: After dinner we ordered a digestive and were served the double amount (4 cl) without asking (wasn't even on the menu) and of course, at the double price! And we weren't told that we, as hotel guests, got a reduction of 10% on the meal (had only been to the room to store our luggage, then went to town. After dinner we saw a voucher on the desk of our room). Apart from all that the surroundings of the hotel are very noisy (There is even a notice in the room that we should inform the police when there are disturbances!); the hotel is situated at busy through roads. Our room itself was clean but small and, although renovated, bathroom, doors, windows and skirts were run down. Very tiny bathroom with high shower receptor - not good for us elderly. Worst for us was the first impression entering the hotel: There is no real reception as you have to check in and out in the taproomw which smelled of alcohol and smoke.and looked filthy. Going up the stairs (no elevator and no help for us elderly) it seemed as if the same carpet is lying there on the stairs and in the floors since the house was built. Extremely filthy and horribly worn. And last but not least at the checkout my credit card was only reluctantly accepted. We definitely won't visit this place again as there are better hotels in Zittau at a reasonable price. For us the negative predominates.

The hotel is a little outside the centre but is quiet and clean. Traditional German hotel with limited parking outside [restricted 900 - 1700]. I suspect that the owner speaks not a word of English and I speak littel German but I was made welcome. As the only guest I was left alone in the hotel as no staff on site over night! Nice breakfast!

The hotel is minutes from the town centre, but still fairly peaceful. We found the staff friendly, helpful and patient, which was necessary as many of the staff do not speak English (not surprising, Zittau does not have that many British tourists). Breakfast was a well stocked continental breakfast and the meals from the restaurant were hearty and delicious. The room was basic but comfortable and clean. The décor of the hotel felt a bit dated, although it was probably very traditional. The hotel is on a main road intersection but tDefinitely not a boutique hotel but was quint. Basic but good value.
