Crosland Cottage

The cottage is well equipped, good for a small family with one or two children who are over 7 years old at least, the reason is the stairs leading to the first floor is a little bit tricky for younger children. The toilet is by the front door, a cozy space to walk around with two adults. However, the toilet is very well renovated and works well. The cottage has very good central heating, you will not get cold during winter at all, additionally, the washing machine has a dryer and wash function, good for the emergency wash. The bunk beds are good for children under 12 for sure, but not for toddlers. The cottage is pet free, there is no animal odour at all. The main bedroom is a highlight, airy and bright , also you can look out your car if you park by the street near the cottage. The internet is fast and stable, no hassle at all. The host is responsible and answered the questions in 10 minutes. There is a path by the cottage, you can walk up to the top and overlooking the whole holmfirth which is fantastic, remember to walk all the way down to the city centre, there is a delicious fish and chips!

It is a bit small, but we can adapt to it for a few nights.

Main bed was on castors, uncomfortable polyester bedding, bathroom cabinet over the small sink made cleaning teeth difficult.

Lovely, well-maintained cottage. Info/photos on location given by owners were crucial, especially as address would not come up on satnav. Beautiful little garden outside the cottage door.

Good value cottage with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Good communication from owners. Very quiet, virtually no traffic, just a couple of Tawny Owls, which were delightful. Highly recommended.⁹

Only a rudimentary local shop for food. As I was travelling by bicycle a journey was required. Bear in mind if no car. About 30 min walk to Holmfirth centre.
