RedDoorz Plus @ Mabolo Cebu

Perfect for a large group of families. We booked for 3 units of 2BR apartment and they managed to give us adjacent rooms which was very convenient for us! The kitchen is complete with amenities we actually cooked our meals and there was even a washing machine that was completely working. Staffs were helpful, especially the security guard who was always quick to book a taxi for us whenever needed. Definitely a good value for money!

Location and size of the rooms

Nothing. I never saw a room @ Mabolo, Cebu. We ended up at RedDoorz Plus near UV Mandaue, Cebu. The paint on the walls was peeling in several places. The sheets were stained. The towels were stained. The shower area had mold at the corners. The windows seem like it had never been cleaned. The ONLY POSITIVE I can say about this whole ordeal is that the staff at RedDoorz Plus near UV Mandaue, Cebu was kind and courteous. But for the entire RedDoorz Organization, shame on you! I will never stay in a RedDoorz ever again.

Let's make this short. 1. 2 days before our arrival I received a message from RedDoorz saying that this property cannot accommodate us (there are 22 of us) because of "operational problems". This turned out to be a lie. They overbooked the hotel. 2. This same message said we have been transferred to another RedDoorz property called "Asiana Pension". Upon checking the rooms they booked for us, the rooms can only accommodate 17 people. We were 22 so I told them that this "solution" was unacceptable. 3. After calling the phone number given in the booking (which was a central phone number for all RedDoorz Hotels) no less than 4 times, they assured me that they were doing their best to find a place that can accommodate 22 people but they were finding it difficult. Before each call, I looked at availability using booking.com and each time I found at least 2 RedDoorz properties that could accommodate us. Each time I called, I informed them of these properties and each time they said that they will check for availability and call me right back. They never called be back EACH TIME. 4. When we arrived in Cebu City, I finally got a message that this original accommodation can take all of us after all. Upon arriving at this hotel (@Mabolo Cebu) the receptionist was confused because they were fully booked and that they informed the central office about this 2 days prior. There was no "operational" problem. They were overbooked. 5. While at @Mabolo, Cebu, when once again informed that they were trying their best, I told them that that was a lie...that in fact, they were not trying at all! I informed them of the availability in RedDoorz Plus near UV Mandaue, Cebu. Finally, after 15 minutes, I was informed to go to UV Mandaue, Cebu. 6. Through these 2 days, I could have simply made another booking with the alternate hotel BUT they would have wanted payment right there and then.

The place was bigger than other establishments.

It would have been nice if the pool was a bit bigger.
