"Great location and lovely property with garden, although needs a bit of TLC."

7.0

Location was great - we enjoyed being able to walk to the local pub. Property had a lot of potential - spacious for a cottage and with a very interesting history. We loved the garden (although important to say that it is very steep so be aware if you have accessibility needs) and enjoyed having breakfast/evening drinks up there with the lovely view over the hills. Parking on the street was easy and we appreciated having a parking permit for further down the road too.

The property felt unloved and outdated. Would be improved with some simple changes e.g. new cutlery/kitchen bits, providing washing up sponge, making sure the bathroom is clean on arrival (there was a lot of hair on the toilet seat - clearly not cleaned), new toilet brush, better pillows (they were really flat), towels smelt of smoke, some of the lightbulbs weren't working. With a bit of TLC, we would happily stay here again.

"Perfect countryside getaway"

10.0

The cottage is so cute, very traditional and picturesque, we had a really lovely stay here. Lots of choice of cafes, pubs and restaurants in the local areas too.

Parking is a little annoying as the property has no parking space, but you can use a local shop’s car park with a notice to keep in your car from the property, which is about a 2 minute walk away.

Cosy comfortable cottage

The only downside was the very heavy traffic throughout the night
