"Lovely residence if you want to explore Dartmoor"

8.0

The location of the house is great if you like hiking or nature. The house is situated in Dartmoor so you can start your hikes directly from the house. You sometimes are greeted by sheep, horses or cows on the road to the house. As it's only 15min from the highway, it's still also location to visit the wider region. The house itself has a lot of character & is very nicely renovated with fully equipped bathroom, kitchen & a washing machine.

When they did the renovated the house, they kept a lot of the old elements. This gives it a very authentic look, but also comes with 2 disadvantages: the living room/dinner room is rather small to fit both couches & dining table. If you come with 4, you will have to move some furniture around for dinner. It also means they kept the small windows, so there isn't a lot of natural light. This doesn't apply to the bedrooms which have a nice size & more light.

"On the moor"

Love the location, right on the moor with great walking options. Lovely welcome of scones, cream and homemade jam. Cosy and warm. Birdsong all around.

"We love it here"

9.0

The location is simply stunning, isolated but accessible and there are great walks from the door. The bedrooms are really well designed. The shower and drying room are great. The hosts are friendly and helpful. The artworks around the cottage are beautiful.

The double bed mattress is rather uncomfortable, dipping in the middle.
