Great location , within walking distance of two pubs . Lots of walking trails from front door , sun- trap terrace at front of property ( we were very lucky with the weather ) accurate description of cottage online .

The cottage is a conversion and there is a lot of noise from the flat above ..You can hear every trip to the loo , every tap being turned on every footstep and even hear what they are watching on tv . Bring earplugs 😀

Perfectly located for shortish walks to the likes of Wray Castle and Lake Windermere. Had wonderful pub, serving great food within 3 minutes walk of property.

Despite being notified we could check in from 1500hrs (we arrived at 1515hrs), the cleaners were still in the property and had thought it was a 1600hrs check in time. This meant sitting outside in the very warm sun, waiting to get into property. We also found a dirty towel on the back of one of the bedroom doors and a couple of the pots that weren't totally clean, sufficient for use.

The location was good, the patio area right outside was lovely. Easy access to some good walks and a lovely pub 2 mins walk away. It was spacious enough for a small family, it was also nice and clean

Quite dated inside. the bathroom fan sounded like a motorbike running and you couldn't turn it off so we opted to not use the light! New crockery and glassware that matched would be a nice touch just to smarten it up. The rug in the lounge was just a fluff ball - we rolled it up and removed it.
