Ivy Bank

Location was great - just down the road and we were in Bowness. Very clean and tidy, great place to stay. Will definitely be back!

Car parking space was tight as I have a large car. Would be better if it was bigger, but you have to work with the space that is there.

Recently returned from a fabulous three night stay at Ivy Bank with 5 friends! The cottage was a true home from home! The spacious open plan kitchen/lounge was a great social space which was well equipped. Loved the under floor heating and log burner. Plenty of board games to play with too. All the bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds- we all slept brilliantly throughout our stay. The fans included in each bedroom will be great as the weather gets warmer. The car parking space is extremely handy (we fit our large Audi sports back into the space with no trouble) There is plenty of other places to park in the surrounding areas for additional cars too. The location was perfect just a couple of minutes walk into Bowness where there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants to visit. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

Well located between Windamere and Bowness 5 min walk to small supermarket restaurants and cinema. 10 min walk to Bowness Windamere ferry point. Accommodation finished to a high specification 3 good sized double bedrooms One en-suite and large house bathroom. Well equipped kitchen. Spacious open plan kitchen/diner lounge area comfortably accommodates 6 adults with cosy log burner. Parking for one car to rear of cottage and plenty available free street parking close to property. Dog friendly and many lovely accessible walks close by.

For summer trips a larger outside seating area would make it even better.

Very minor points, it's more Bowness than Windermere but not really an issue at all. Parking space very small (even for a mini!), but parking limited everywhere around there.
