Sunset Cabins 1770

The location of the Sunset Cabins was very impressive. The cabins are advertised as right on the water but they are actually located on the other side of a busy street. But, we still enjoyed the waterfront through the trees. The bedroom was to one side of the cabin and right next door to the neighbours who were loud from time to time. The cabin included a quality kitchen, laundry and a nice bathroom, all well stocked and made our stay very comfortable.

Being more tropical than Brisbane the insect life was very busy which kept us from enjoying the verandah seating to its optimum. The road outside and the neighbouring hotel were often quite loud which was disturbing to quiet living people. We did not see, hear or notice any of the staff and only communicated with them via email. This was concerning as we had an issue which we reported upon leaving but heard nothing back from them. That issue was an infestation of Bed-bugs for which we itched and scratched through the next week. I informed the staff of this problem only to ensure something was done before the next guests arrived. No response from staff.

Great location and beautiful spacious cabin.

We stayed in Cabin no:1 which had beautiful garden & beach views from the front deck. There was a bbq, outdoor setting and a bench with stools which was perfect for sitting back relaxing with a drink or two. Inside was clean, spacious and well equipped with a washing machine & dryer if needed. 1770 Sunset Cabins is perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

The bedroom and bathroom were small and tight.

Great location and well equipped unit with new compact gas bbq on deck, amazing views of the bay whilst cooking and eating on the deck. Close to walking tracks and beach access. Easy to access with keys onsite in combination lock. Washing machine and dryer and great water pressure in shower. Will book again for a longer stay as only overnight stop this stay.
