"A shirt stay and weather not great, but would definitely visit again."

8.0

Very well maintained and cared for. Bed was very comfortable, overslept a couple of times! Living area very spacious, as a musician could hold a small concert in there🙂

No complaints, one observation driving out of the property is direct onto the road, a mirror opposite would make it safer. Again not a complaint!

"It was nice because it was out of the way."

Didn't have breakfast. Location was excellent.

Shower controls were a bit stiff and difficult to set. Could have done with a mirror to help you get on to the main road.

"Amazing views, countryside, horses, local sights to visit."

10.0

Everything! this is a gorgeous house, in an amazing location. views from both sides of the property were wonderful - sea or almost rainforest, take your pick! with beautiful horses and fouls playing in the fields. Highly comfortable house, with great facilities, everything you could need in the kitchen etc. The BBQ is gas which was great, though we'd brought firelighters, BBQ bricks! We had an amazing week, my two grown up sons and I, with lots of walking. the walk to Culbone Church, as per the green Porlock Weir walking book in the house was great, around 4 hours with a stop for a picnic. We also visited Watchet for the Wednesday market (armed with coolbox for the fishmonger - very good....) and Dunster for the castle and medieval feel. The castle, more a stately home these days is £18 per person to enter, so we didn't go inside, instead we walked up to the turret at the opposite side of the village, great views. We also went to the top of the moors, no red deer in sight (apparently after 7pm is the best time to see them) but lots of panoramic views and wild horses. We also visited Coombe Martin, a gorgeous cove like beach, very unspoilt, and we even swam! Lots of rock pools and caves to explore. Highly highly recommended as a place to unwind, see beautiful unspoilt countryside, go on long walks and not see another person. Also to discover horse husbandry! (google is not good at giving me the facts I need!). And don't forget to visit Porlock Weir Oysters (thank you house for our free vouchers). Crab and lobster were the specials on the night we visited - delicious! We had a wonderful time, the views, we sometimes felt we could be anywhere in the world.

Nothing.

"Comfortable, well equipped property in an amazing location."

10.0

Although slightly dated, this was an exceptionally clean, well equipped and comfortable property with great views Great walks directly from the property and everybody we met was friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this lovely apartment. Porlock is a couple of miles away and has a reasonable selection of shops. For those who like walking, there is an interesting walk from the property to Hurlstone Pont and then on to the pretty little village of Bossington (there is a tea room, but check whether it is open as it is seasonal) The circular walk will take a few hours, although it isn't over challenging terrain.

There are no negative comments I could make.

Everything to be honest, staff where very friendly, accommodation is really comfortable and old worldy and loads of space. Loved the horses, and pub down the road bottom ship was friendly and lovely meals. Only one gripe owner was abit offish. Looked at me like I had two heads.
