"Homely and comforting cottage with everything provided for a wonderful holiday experience."

10.0

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Well-equipped and had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating. The cottage was very clean on arrival and the welcome pack with the wine, chocolate and biscuits was a lovely touch and much appreciated. We loved the cottage features, modern kitchen and bathroom, wood burner and the spacious bedrooms. The washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and Wifi access were a bonus. I would highly recommend Weardale Cottage and look forward to visiting again in the future.

"I would definitely recommend, we had a lovely stay!"

10.0

The cottage has a lovely cosy feel, nicely decorated and spacious which is deceiving from the outside. It is equipped with all the basics you need. The beds were very comfy and huge, we all slept very well. We had a great time spending time in and around the cottage. It was the ideal location for us in a pretty village with a shop, cafe and two pubs. We loved exploring the river Wear walk and the many bridges and fords were very fun to cross. We also did day trips to Beamish (about 50mins in the car), High Force waterfall, and neighbouring villages like Alston and Stanhope. Next time we return we would consider going during the winter to benefit from using the wood burner. Hosts Martin and Fiona were excellent communicators and very helpful with queries we had. We were sad to leave but look forward to returning one day!

Everything was great!

Weardale cottage is beautiful. Martin and Fiona have made sure that there is everything you need for your stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm when we arrived. The surrounding countryside is stunning. We enjoyed some lovely walks during our stay.
