A very nice welcoming from the host Very pleasant decor throughout the guest house Very comfortable room and and nice touches in the room such as a mini fridge Cooked breakfast very good, especially the spiral Cumberland sausage 🌭 All in all a very enjoyable stay

The only down side was the fact you did not have the choice for cancelling the booking for free.

"Exceeded Expectations!"

The owner and host ,Graham, is a very welcoming person and will do anything for you. His knowledge of Silloth and the surrounding areas is exceptional and its a delight to listen to the historical facts while having a drink in the lounge (reasonably priced too) We stayed in the Criffel Room overlooking the green, the Solway and the Criffel hills which gave the most ideal sunsets and what a view to awake too. The room was so comfortable with a king size 4 poster bed. There was plenty of drawer space and a hanging area. There are adequate power sockets in the room with tea and coffee facilities with mugs and large glasses provided. The en suite had a huge walk in shower, there was an apology notice for the lack of power but was good enough in my opinion. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were provided. We ate in Stella's Bistro, within the guesthouse, and the food was amazing and all made from local sources by Archie. Get the sourdough fruit loaf, its lovely. The breakfasts are made to order at a time you specify and they set you up for the day.

There was nothing to dislike about the Green View guesthouse.
