"Some very niggling deficiencies undermined what otherwise might have been a good stay."

5.0

Location, configuration, condition & decoration good & appropriate

1. Communication was poor. I enquired about how to get public transport to the property and was sent information about driving there. 2. Every communication from Sykes was preceded by a caveat stating the booking was not yet confirmed until it had passed through/ been approved by their system and this after the money had been paid. This did not offer confidence. 3. It was difficult to know what was being supplied in the kitchen on arrival. Told there was no tea towel, but there was. But no salt, pepper or such?! Other than a fridge & the kitchen top there was no space for food storage. This standard of provisioning is below anything I’ve experienced in many European trips. 4. It is impossible to have a good nights sleep in beds which have footboards, if you are tall. This really should be addressed.

"Perfect location, relaxing stay, cute cottage, maybe take a bean bag"

7.0

Perfect location, 1.5 hours from Snowdon and 10 mins from idris šŸ”ļø Lovely fully equipped kitchen with food waste and normal bin and washing up liquid Key collection was super easy in lock box Bedding was amazing and very comfortable (Bed was not so much) There was a hairdryer in the main bedroom in the drawer (I always take my own as have long hair but handy incase anyone needs one) There was a booklet by the window which has the wifi info and instructions etc (just fyi we didn’t find the booklet until day 2 and there’s not much signal out there which was bliss the first night) ā˜ŗļø There’s a plug in heater for extra warmth which I used a few nights in the kingsize room as I get cold 🄶 Towels are provided which is a bonus and a tea towel and hand towel in the kitchen (we took some with us just incase) Very powerful shower (skip the bath if you’re not 4ft and the water wasn’t really hot enough to have a bath) shower was great though Parking just fitted the van in, but was fine and off the road Beautiful cottage all in all

The sofa and beds could maybe do with an upgrade or a couple bean bags downstairs as the sofa was very uncomfortable (we wanted to light the fire but there was nowhere to sit comfortably and enjoy it so we didn’t) The kingsize bed was too small for my 6ft partner and I think the slats are broken as is very loud and rolls you to the middle (so he chose to sleep in the single bed as his feet didn’t touch the end in that one) The bath is like a half length bath, but the shower made up for it which was really powerful Take hand wash as there wasn’t any and I like to wash my hands a lot The outside seating wasn’t very comfy and right next to the neighbours so we chose not to sit outside (which is normally have a morning cuppa out there to wake up when we’re away)

Peaceful, cosy beautiful location, good selection of books. Visiting the mach loop ideal location, within 10 mins up at the viewing point at Cad east up the narrow back road

Only down side for me was the lack of a freezer compartment in fridge as I had brought some frozen food with me, rest of kitchen well equipped inc washer and dryer as It was pretty muddy on the tops.

"Loved Corris and all of the surrounding areas, roads in Wales are excellent and put England to shame"

10.0

Beautiful location, nice decor, friendly locals, perfect location for travelling to various places, nowhere was too far. The King Arthur Labrynth Corris Craft Centre was brilliant. We got to see some fighter jets fly down the valley on three seperate days...awesome. Can't wait to go back to Wales, totally hooked. We did 600 miles while there and the scenery is jaw dropping, great steam train rides as well. It's a bit like middle earth, you may even see Gandalf.

The bed was very noisy, hard and uncomfortable, and the two seater settee, and arm chair could be better. Everything else was great. The toilet in the bathroom was a little cramped, the shower was great but a non slip bath mat for taking a shower would be a good idea for us older people.

The countryside setting was idyllic especially with the nearby flock of sheep. Love the nearby narrow gauge RR and King Arthur attraction. Too bad the fast low flying jets weren't flying the Mach Loop while we were there!
