Burley

This is the fourth time we have stayed in Rutland; three times at this Resort. The lodges have everything one needs for a comfortable stay.

Although we are very conscious of today's cost of heating, it might have been nice for the heat to have been turned up for our February arrival! Consequently, we found it particularly cold on that first night, and we couldn't get the radiator in the master bedroom to work. This was quickly and easily sorted by the friendly on-site handyman the following morning, who also sorted out the tv which had only allowed two channels [!!], but the leaking hand wash basins in both en suite and bathroom were noted but could not be fixed until new plugs could be brought in. The two t-towels left for our use, although washed, were not particularly clean [I would have used them for floor cloths at home!], but I had brought my own. Two of the reading lamps did not work after a couple of days [new lamps or a lose wire?] but, again, the handyman was there to sort this out - which we did like!
