The Cherry Stone Country House

Neat and clean house. Proactive and accommodating host. She gave us an early check in and late check out. 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms with showers. Fully fitted kitchen and more than ample wood was provided for free. I will definitely recommend

Location was good as we were going to afriski is just less than hour to a border gate. Electric blankets helped a lot .

We had a number of issues during our stay that made the experience quite disappointing. Check-in Process: We waited 45 minutes to check ourselves in, only to find out later that the gate was not locked and the house key was left in the yard. This could have easily been communicated when we informed the host of our arrival. Wi-Fi: There was no Wi-Fi access provided. If Wi-Fi was available, we were not given the password, and there was no one to ask. Lighting & Signage: The house is very dark, with no outdoor lighting and no visible signage showing the property name, making it hard to locate and feel safe. Expired Coffee: The coffee provided was expired, which is unhygienic and concerning. Air-conditioning: The air-conditioning was not working, and the house was cold. We had to go to bed early just to keep warm. Fireplace Confusion: There was a charcoal fireplace in the seating area, but also a sign that said “no fire”, which was confusing and made it unusable. Suggestions for Improvement: It would make a big difference to: Personally welcome guests, or at least provide clear instructions upon arrival Explain how to use basic amenities such as Wi-Fi, heating, and security Ensure everything is clean, functional, and clearly labeled Make the outside lighting and signage more visible, especially for late arrivals

It was nice to get out of the city and spend time with family in a quiet area. Everyone was so nice and house was a perfect getaway.

Aircon did not work. Were not allowed to make fire in the inside fireplaces, as that was the reason I picked the premises

Everything was fantastic. Enough space, individuals bathroom, enough utensils, cleanliness. We were warm enough because each bed has a electric blanket

I was disappointed in the morning because we couldn't shower there's no hot water. I think this is the habit I've experienced with private owned holiday homes , they do have a tendency to manipulate the geyser, especially in the morning. You can't have a nice bath in a cold weather with no warm water
