Agriturismo La Burlanda

Having a house in nearby Fosdinovo affords us the opportunity to lunch here whenever we’re visiting our house. Today was no different from any other . Great food well cooked at a reasonable price . The staff as always were exceptional, in particular Lorenzo who was our waiter. Can’t wait until we go back again soon.

The internet side is really promising ... "reality" is completely different. The rooms have such a low level, that the prices per room are even to high. This place is outside of Sarzana, with no infrastructure. The view should be fantastic??? No! We have seen many Agriturismi with real heartbreaking views. The food is mentioned as "fantastic" but just do not forget, that the level of food quality at Argriturismi is in general very high and therefore ... nothing special. And we had unexpected the possibility to have a sight into the kitchen ... no words "for" that. We have no problems with "simple" but everything that was visible for us is really "lowest level". So, not to recommend!

High quality describes this lovely property set remotely in the rolling hills near La Spezia. Wonderful place to completely unwind. Delicious wines produced on-site (we bought 3 bottles); they also produce their own marmalade and olive oil... dinner was excellent in a very pretty dining hall... bedroom suite was spectacular, with sheets and comforter that felt and smelled so good that i didn't want to get out of bed! Left the window open to the view and woke up to the sound of a donkey and birds singing happily 😄 the owner very gracious - we will return, for sure.

This is a reveiw of the restaurant within the hotel. Having recently purchased a house in the area and having tried quite a few local restaurants of late I feel I can attest to the brillance of this eatery. The service initally was a little slow (it was however peak time on a Sunday ) but from there it only got better and better. A large barn like room warmed perfectly by a glass enclosed fireplace was the perfect place for 6 of us to spend 4 hours on a wet Autumns Sunday. The food, 90% of it produced on the farm itself, was prepared beautifully. The wine, organic, is also grown on the property and we consumed enough of it to warrant its approval. The staff were engaging and the bill easy on the wallet. Having now found this place, we will be back many times more I am sure. I suggest you get there at least once.

Beautiful place with set high in the hills. This was our first experience of agriturismo having travelling from Ireland we picked La Burlanda for the agriturismo webpage. The staff the food the room the view breath taking a piece of heaven on earth! We would highly recommend La Burlanda and will return in the future.

We have had a wonderful diner with a beautiful scenery. The food was well prepared, one of the best we have had in Italy and for a fair price. The sfaff was very friendly and was willing to give us a view in the wine-cellar and the place where they make the honey. Too bad it is so far from home.. if we return we will definitely make another visit.

I can only echo the positive views already posted for this place. Food is good, reasonable price, and the family/staff are very welcoming. Fortunately for me, it's just a short drive up the road from Sarzana (home of many good restaurants) in the direction of Fosdinovo (also well worth a visit, not just for the castle). I think there are only two signs for La Burlanda, but if you stay on the road from Sarzana to Fosdinovo, and keep your eyes peeled, you should be able to find it. I've only been twice, but parking hasn't been a problem so far.

What I love about La Burlanda is that you truly get off the beaten path and away from the touristy areas while still being conveniently located to Cinque Terre, Lucca, Pisa and the Marble caves. The food was very good and among the best I have had in Italy. I recommend the Monterosso al Mare Anchovies - they're not what you think so just try them! Nonna's Raviolis and Bolognese are delicious. Honestly, the entire menu is good. The rooms are clean and they have a wonderful view. I have a family of five and we reserved a flat with two bedrooms, a kitchen and a balcony overlooking the Tuscan hills, and at a bargain price. Be sure to take home some wine, olive oil and honey. They are all very good and very inexpensive.

We stayed @ La Burlanda 11th to16th Sept. Everything was good, the food cooked by the young chef was very well presented high quality with no miles all products local , Room very clean and comfortable, great shower,nice and quiet although a little difficult to find.All the staff and owners very pleasant. They make thier own wine ,olive oil and charcuterie,all in a great place to stay.
