Villa Sarakkuwa

The staff were amazing and made us the nicest meals. We preordered the vegetable curry for dinner and it was delicious. The place is good for a stop over before or after the airport.

The room felt dirty and the bathroom wasn’t cleaned. There were no hand towels or bath maths either.

Set in beautiful surroundings. The property is a calm oasis with well kept gardens and lovely pool. The hosts were amazing and couldn’t do more to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was varied and well presented. We paid extra for evening meals (great value) which gave us a taste of traditional Sri Lankan cuisine. Several different dishes which were all explained to us and beautifully presented. Air conditioning in our room was very efficient and very welcome!

Because of the lush green gardens, lots of mosquitoes and ants. No storage in our room so had to live out of our suitcase.

Quite location with lagoon water front and pool

Nice and quite location close to airport. Lovely owners.

The property is BEAUTIFUL, next to the lake and 3 minutes walk from the beach. The staff are extremely helpful, the breakfast delicious and beautiful and the pool beautiful and refreshing. It is within 30 min reach to the airport via Tuk Tuk and two kilometres from an excellent restaurant on the lake. Would highly recommend someone to stay here on their way to or from the airport.

They were so so friendly! Amazing pool, great breakfast! Ask them for the vegetable Curry for dinner, best food we had in Sri Lanka, we ordered it every night! AC is strong in the rooms.

Relaxing stay with a nice pool and view on the lagoon. Recommend Dutch trails to go out for dinner.
