Quicksand Rasdhoo

We had a great stay at Quicksand Hotel. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location is perfect , just 2 minutes from the beach. I would especially like to thank Ali, who made our stay truly exceptional. He helped us with airport transfers, arranged for the boat to wait when our flight was delayed, and was always very polite and helpful. Even after we moved to another island, he continued to assist us with transfers, saving us time and money. A wonderful experience, especially thanks to the warm and caring staff.

Hotel is great. But the bikini beach may feel a bit shallow, and there are many coral remains, so coral shoes are definitely recommended.

El personal muy amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudarte. La situación del alojamiento está en el centro de la isla, muy cerca de la bikini beach. El desayuno es bueno, a excepción del café que es soluble aunque como en la mayoría de alojamientos de islas locales en Maldivas. La habitación tenía una cama cómoda y con aire acondicionado. Si los deseas cada día te hacen la habitación y te cambian las toallas. Antes de entrar a las habitaciones tienen una chorrillo con agua para quitarte la arena de los pies. Ps: Recuerdos para todo el equipo y también para Ginger! 😺

Falta de luz en la habitación porque solo funcionaba 1 de las 4 que había. Un problema que hay en Maldivas, son los olores de las cañerías. En este caso, al abrir el grifo de la ducha subía el olor. Como opinión personal, podría haber una cortina más opaca.

Es gibt ein Frühstücksbuffet. Das einzige Hotel, was keine Gebühr bei der Zahlung mit Kreditkarte verlangt. 3,5 bis 4,5 Prozent verlangen andere Hotels. Das Speedboot von Male nach Rasdhoo kostet über Ali dem Manager des Hotels nur 35 Dollar. Andere Hotels nehmen 40 Dollar und wiederum eine Gebühr bei Kartenzahlung. Jeder auf der Insel kennt Ali. Selbst bei ausgebuchtem Speedboot würde Platz für Alis Gäste gemacht. Unser Zimmer war groß, sauber und modern. Das Bett war sehr komfortabel. Handtücher zum Strand gibt es umsonst. Tolle Unterkunft.

The location is really great, so close to bikini beach and there are some restaurants nearby that are really nice! We were picked up and dropped off at the harbour. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was buffet-style and good. The room was really comfortable as well and good sound isolation. It was cleaned every day. Really fair pricing for what you get!

The only point which was weird is that we booked a snorkelling tour through the hotel and the boat left us for 20 minutes. We are strong swimmers so when they asked if we needed snorkelling guide we said it was not really necessary. But then we didn’t expect to be left completely alone and if something would have happened, nobody could have helped us. The boat came back after 20 mins to pick us up but we thought it was really weird they left without saying anything and that this was unsafe.
