No plugs in bathroom for sink - delayed entry instructions led to anxiety - the house stinks of weed - shit bed

Location was spot on

Couldn't turn the heating on by the kitchen but had to do on the combo in the bathroom. Tried to call and message but got no reply. Says tea and coffee but nothing there

Was perfect for what we needed. Clean and accessible, easy instructions, warm and opposite a lovely little pub called lamp and whistle!

very good but was job to see keypad to key number in the dark so had some job see what number to key in to open door unfortunately especially if you only have one hand ³

Central Location close to station and town centre. Very basic accommodation. Clean rooms and shared bathroom was clean Shared kitchen was clean and had fridge, microwave, cutlery and some crockery.

The rooms are a little bit dated and could do with a bit of a spruce. Kitchen needs to be more organised as drawers and cupboards full of items that shouldn’t be there. Can be noisy as I could hear everything the room below we’re saying, and this was very late on the night I stayed.

The location was close to the railway station and bus station, but it was overpriced compared to other accommodation nearby and was cold and uninviting. Sadly I would strongly recommend other potential guests to avoid this property

I have used Booking.com many times this year and until this booking I have not been disappointed, but the Cottage at Penzance was cold, uninviting and overpriced. There is a shared bathroom accessed along an upstairs corridor with steps. It was so bad that on arrival, we decided to find somewhere else to stay. We subsequently contacted the owners and they made encouraging comments about giving me a partial refund. However, this just seemed to be a delaying tactic. I would have preferred honesty. I would not recommend any other guests to stay at the cottage - certainly out of the summer season - as the room was extremely cold on arrival. As this property detracts from the excellent portfolio of properties that can be found elsewhere on Booking.com, I would recommend Booking.com to remove it as an option on their site.

Location is good.

Room smelled very musty and smelly. Windowsills and skirting were dirty. Couldn't stay in the room except to sleep. It was so smelly that when someone in another part of the building started frying onions at 11pm we were relieved as it covered the dank smell somewhat.

Quaint 1820’house. Nicely modernised ,however No outdoor code sent until I phoned proprietor and I arrived on time at 8pm. Room handles were latch type and had no mechanism so was very confusing to me. Should have simple cabinet handles. Don’t ask to input all this again
