Verona Vineyard Cottage

Location

Need a lot of tlc. Mould on the ceiling. Needs some fans as ac not working in lounge. Furniture and bathrooms need updating. Doors need wd40 or something to make them slide. Bins need colour coding.(unless it doesn’t matter) maybe a lock on bathroom door since it possible to sleep so many??

It was spacious and well set up. We had a nice alfresco barbecue.. Lovely setting.

A gutter would suddenly fill and spill a few litres of rain water over the covered outdoor area adjacent to the dining room. Wifi would have been nice. I have posted a photo of where you turn into the property as no 426 number on McDonald’s Rd.

The location was perfect for the weekend

You can't beat the space in the cottage, or the location to nearby attractions. While the house is not 'modern', it has everything a large group could want, especially if you have small children. The fireplace (with lots of wood supplies) will keep you toasty warm in winter. The kitchen has the lot, and there's plenty of beds/spaces to sleep.

The dishwasher needs repairing (the bottom tray is very hard to push/pull in), but that was a minor matter and apart from that all was as described.

Great location, close to everything we needed. There's two lounge area with a fireplace in the middle so plenty of room to spread out relax for everyone. Most important the beds are very comfortable. The fireplace heated the house so no need for the aircon in the lounge area. The place is a little outdated but has more room than most new homes and everything worked, and the place was very clean and well looked after.

For us oldies the wooden dining chairs could have done with padding just to make it more comfortable. Lighting in the kitchen for us could be a little brighter also but this would not stop us from renting the home again. A summer stay for us would be a no go as the bedrooms are not air-conditioned.

Fantastic Location. Was in a great spot for what we wanted. So close to other places we wanted to go to. Sleeps a lot of people.

In extreme need of a make over and good clean, especially the top of the fridge. Signs of water damage to walls and rotting timber inside and out. The kettle button was broken. Sliding door from the dining room didn't open to the outdoor area. Needs a good pest spray - we found so many spiders, bugs, cockroaches and other creepy crawlies in the place each night. Thankfully they had Mortein there so we could spray. The property does have a lot of potential, unfortunately they aren't utilising it.
