The location, the waterfall, the hammocks, the hosts, the food… it was spectacular.

The dorm room felt a bit damp but I guess that’s just because it’s such an old building by a river. There were dehumidifiers in the room though.

This was an amazing place to stay. For travellers wanting a unique and rustic experience I would highly recommend the Watermill. The location is down in a valley with a stream running nearby. There are several waterfalls and pools which hot weary travellers can take a dip in. The access to the Watermill involved walking down a track so this is probably not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. We were greeted by Nicolas the host who was very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a 4 bed bunk room which was very spacious with my son and husband. The bunks were handmade and were very comfortable. Despite it being mid to high 20's in temperature the room remained at a comfortable sleeping temperature. Bed linen and towels were provided. Although it was short notice Nicolas rustled up a very tasty evening meal for our group of 7 which we ate in the garden. We were also able to buy wine or beer at very good price (cash only).

The bathrooms were not ensuite, however we knew this when we booked. There were 3 showers and my only criticism would be that the water pressure in the showers wasn't brilliant.

The place was awesome, just not for us, after walking 30+km we were tired and didn't take a chance of enjoying the setting

Mein Rat: unbedingt den Abstecher mit einplanen! My advice: worth the side trip! A unique experience with cooling down in a wonderful waterfall included.

Exclusive location... more than worthy of a pilgrim or a traveler. The peace and quiet are pure bliss. Comfort is superior to the surrounding accommodations. The dinner is excellent, something different from a steak and salad with fries or rice. Dinner was super healthy and nutritious to start the next day. Otherwise, had a pleasant evening. Conclusion I recommend it, especially to anyone traveling as a pilgrim, and the price is more than worth it. When I am on the road, I will always recommend this location over the mass standard inns. This place is welcoming to everyone... even though it is a bit off the beaten track, believe me, it is more than worth the effort. Dion, pilgrim, Belgium.

O proprietário Nickolaus é uma ótima pessoa e o ambiente do hostel é maravilhoso e os animais que lá tem são fofos Aisha e África é o Nome dos gatos. Adorei o hostel voltarei em breve para curtir a natureza.

I recently finished walking the Camino from Lisbon to Santiago and when I reflect back on all the many places I stayed this was the highlight. Even though it’s a bit off of the Camino, it is more than worth the extra kilometer or two. The meal served was perfect, I never slept better than my night there and I only wish I could’ve stayed an extra day or two. Anywhere you go on the property you hear the beautiful sound of the waterfall with multiple pools that you can get in cooled down and relax.
