The Arthouse

We loved the location in terms of closeness to the Hunter Valley Gardens and other venues, the comfortable beds and 4 of the 5 rooms being en-suite. The house is spacious with lots of places to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. We loved the cellar room. We loved the open fire. Overall, it's a fabulous place to stay.

There are lots of steps up and down to the bedrooms, which were a bit tricky with our luggage, but manageable. We were expecting the location to be less suburban, but it was still very nice. There really isn't much to not like about this property.

Excellent location. Large, spacious house, very clean and extremely well equipped. Would highly recommend.

3 levels- plenty of bedding options- plenty of bathrooms - and great additional bits

didn’t get to use all due to short stay - fire spa deck etc - gated community requiring access codes - meaning our taxi to venue could not gain access

very spacious and had everything we needed for a weekend wedding away

Lots of living space, the spa was lovely, the kangaroo visitors in the backyard were a bonus. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds very clean and comfy. It is so central to some great cellar doors and a short drive to everything you would need.

The only things missing from the house were mosquito or fly repellent or coils for when sitting on the balcony and boxes of tissues. We tried but couldn't find the pool/spa in the complex. After asking where it was, we were told a 10 minute walk from the house but no directions. We got the impression that visitors weren't really welcome/encouraged to use those facilities even though they are advertised as part of the price.
