As always nice and easy place to stay for reasonable price

Staff should not leave the desk for nearly an hour while front doors are locked. Thar was crazy considering it was still 9pm and I been forced to wait on the street until the girl on reception finally appeared. Not very attentive either and rather disinterested with the job... try staffing hotel better and pay the staff better!

I checked in with my two children at 21:15 on Monday 25th May and was met with a very cold, unwelcoming greeting. We were given Family Room 23, used the bathroom, and immediately discovered that the shower hose was completely severed from the shower head. I reported this straight away. The receptionist, Faith, asked whether we “needed to use the shower” — an unreasonable question for a family checking in late at night. She said two other family rooms were available (Room 20 and Room 9) and moved us to Room 20, but only after making us return to reception to swap keys. When we reached Room 20, the air conditioning didn’t work. I had chosen this hotel specifically because it advertised aircon, and the outside temperature had been around 30°. I went back to reception to report the issue. Faith said she would “change something” and told us to wait 10 minutes. We showered, but after 20 minutes the room only got hotter. I returned again — with my children — to say the aircon still wasn’t working. She told me to “wait longer.” By now it was 10:15pm, 25 minutes after I first reported the issue. I asked to move back to Room 23 (broken shower but working aircon), since we had already showered. She refused, saying “I’d rather you didn’t.” She told me to go back, reinsert the key card, and try again. It still didn’t work. When I insisted on moving back, she refused again, claiming we had “already used” Room 20 — even though we had already used the bathroom in Room 23 as well. I suggested the obvious solution: move us back to Room 23, where at least the aircon worked. She still refused, not because she couldn’t fix the situation, but because she didn’t want us to “create more used rooms.” She refused to escalate the issue. She refused to offer any compensation. She refused to move us to any of the other 2 available rooms that could have resolved the problem. Instead, she told me she wanted me and my two children to leave the hotel because she felt I was being “unreasonable.” This staff member demonstrated no customer service skills, no problem‑solving ability, and no concern for the safety or comfort of a parent with children late at night. It has now been an hour since she told me to “wait another 10 minutes,” and the aircon still doesn’t work. Under the Consumer Rights Act, I am entitled to a partial refund because the hotel failed to provide the facilities it advertised and refused to remedy the situation. If it weren’t so late, I would have moved my children to a safer and friendlier hotel. Avoid this place at all costs.

Price, location, concenience

Lack of customer service. No alarm call available in room, had a problem with my phone charger, received no help at all from reception when queried.

You get what you pay for, very basic but convenient.
