Nice location, great use and renovation of a former industrial building

Unfortunately no in room drink making facilities, otherwise very good.

Beautiful building and property. Modern rooms with a rustic touch. Our family of five fit nicely in the two large double beds in the Dachboden apartment. Trash was emptied and beds were made everyday. Super nice shower and bathroom. Nice Garderobe to put shoes and jackets in. Bottles of water given every day.

For us the main problem was that the elevator was not working during our four-night stay because of the cold weather outside. The elevator and fire escape style steps were all located outside and attached to the main building. All apartments are located on the fifth (top) floor. So regardless which apartment you stay in you will need to walk these steps, if the elevator is not working. For anyone with a mobility or disability issue this will NOT be possible. Even for us being physically fit and with our three small children, it was a huge hassle with the luggage and every outing. If you have a mobility or disability issue, I would not recommend staying in the hotel just because of the risk the elevator won’t be working. We did not physically see or speak with one single staff member during our stay. I would classify it between a hotel and a Ferienwohnung. Although the Dachboden room is an apartment, it is without a refrigerator. Paying close to 200€ a night still felt like too much for a location in a village, even during the holiday time.

The room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious. The grounds are beautiful. Loved the little free library outside. A highlight for us was stumbling upon the small petting zoo down the street when we went for a walk one evening.

The contactless checkin with limited instruction in English was a little confusing for us.

Breakfast was good, staff were all very friendly and helpful-when we saw them as hardly anyone around! Rooms are very clean and comfortable, beautifully decorated and use of wood is stunning.

Restaurant and bar are closed. Restaurant is open for pre booked breakfast ONLY. This is not clear on booking. Very little in local area to eat/drink at instead.
