Ben's Guesthouse Kyoto

Located in kitano area close to tenmangumae shrine. Good connectivity via local buses esp num 203 to gion area. Close to railway line for arashiyama bamboo forest. Overall a pleasant stay .

Ben's Guesthouse provides abundant info about what to expect, how to get there, local recommendations, etc. Excellent communications. We really liked being in the Kitano neighborhood, exploring the local shops and restaurants, and visiting the Nishijin Textile International Museum a block away (I'll include two photos). It was great having laundry and kitchen facilities as well.

The stay was peaceful, even arriving late, I was able to do everything according to their email. The place was clean.

the morning receptionist didn't seem very friendly.

Great location, doesn’t get too busy, only a 5 minute walk to the bus, nice and subtle with a spacious room for a reasonable price.

Very good hotel and the staff are very professional and polite.

Like: the staff was very helpful and kind. The room was clean. Dislike: narrow stairs for managing big suitcases, specially if you travel with a large family of 5 members. The room has very little space to manage family-size luggage. They should reserve the rooms in the first and ground floors for large families.

This was a welcoming place for our family's first visit to Kyoto. Ben was kind and accomodating, letting us in a little early. The room was clean and comfortable and the area was quiet and there were many places to see within walking distance, and it was close to the hop on, hop off bus.

Great accommodation, helpful check in staff has comfortable beds.Lots of space in room with washing machine, stove , drying room etc.No elevator which makes getting to room difficult with large suitcases or if you have disability.
