Pool and room was too small

Thank you so much! My originally booked hotel turned out not so well, so I went to Hotel Yaxactun. The receptionist was so friendly. The location is great, just 2 streets down from the beach. I actually prolonged my stay as I liked it so much. Kudos to the receptionist who always answered my questions and was really competent. She actually also handed me a bilingual brochure about Yucatán.

Tiny little suggestion: A hose at the entrance so guests can wash down the sand from their feet and flip flops. But that would be on top.

The hotel is located close to the beach.

Even though at the first glance it looks clean, the room is worn out. The towels, once white, are kind of gray. The smell in the bathroom from the sewage is unbearable. There are literally every 2 minutes trucks (very heavy ones) passing in front of the hotel. Sometimes are 3 at the time! Even in the weekend or in the night they don't stop! So if you sleep light, bring your earplugs! It's impossible to sleep otherwise. The water in the pool is dirty. For this price at least they should provide breakfast. It's expensive for no reason. For the bottle of water, that is complementary, I had to ask, they didn't left it in the room. The second minute I arrived, I was asked about the gentleman in the reception to pay, like I was going to run away! Terrible, terrible!

This hotel was beautiful and the customer service was top notch! The reception gave great recommendations and was very accommodating, her name is Alondra! She made our stay extra special. Close enough to walk to everything but distant enough to be unbothered. Will definitely stay again.
