"Do not use Jipek Joli hotel. They are unreliable."

Actually I didn't stay there, but... I made a reservation already in November 2024 by mail.I had their response and got the confirmation for 7 rooms with breakfast for two nights in May 2025. Yesterday,one month before arrival, the cancel the full reservation because they have a bigger group which increased their number of guests. OK, there I'm standing with my group of 13 people, one month before arrival. I have now another hotel, Damir Hotel, but of course more expensive because we are closer to the arrival date. Do not use Jipek Joli hotel. They are unreliable.

"Fine for an overnight stay, really convenient to the Savitsky."

The Jipek Joli Hotel is extremely convenient - a five minute walk - for visiting the Savitsky Museum. SERVICE: I didn't encounter bad service anywhere in Uzbekistan. I didn't ask for much here, except a late checkout, which was freely given. ROOM: Large but simple, with what looked like hand-me-down furnishings. Not designer, fine for a night. Most beds in Uzbekistan are quite firm, which I happen to like. BREAKFAST: Served in the restaurant, relatively simple but copious. Breads, pastries, a patty of some kind with melted cheese on top, fruit. WIFI: No issues PAYMENT: Credit card (Visa, Mastercard) taken with no issues. LOCATION AND SIGHTS: Most people will only be staying in Nukus a short while to see the Savitsky and/or as a jumping off point for Moynaq and the Aral Sea. As others have mentioned, there's a good Turkish restaurant right around the corner. Nukus is pretty far off the beaten path, and my main need was convenience to the Savitsky Museum. The Jipek Joli is a perfectly fine choice if that's your goal.
