Good experience in the hotel itself. However, I was blown away by the service I received from Phil Johnson, during the dinner on the night of November 4, 2023. He went out of his way to accommodate my dietary preferences, when there was no other option for me. He told me that the vegan dish that he made for me was his first attempt, and it was delicious. While I might be biased, I can say it looked way more appetizing than what the other guests were served! My hats off to Mr. Johnson, who also wouldn't accept a tip from me, instead advising me to leave a positive review for the benefit of the entire establishment. On top of all of this, he kept checking in on me, asking me about my dietary restrictions, and did this all because all of the chefs/cooks had gone home, leaving him to fend for himself. Imagine being so dedicated to your craft and your employer, that you sacrifice your own time and decline a monetary tip just to serve the clientele. I was absolutely blown away by this experience, and I do hope for the best for Mr. Phil Johnson.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel on New Year’s Eve 2024. The room was extremely large, 2 beds, and a small table and booth for eating at. We appreciated the refrigerator, coffee machine, and free water. The bedding was clean, and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and everyone had a solid sleep once we were able. The downside, no-fault of the hotel, was the neighbors who shared our balcony. The balcony door open and closed nearly every minute or two, which slammed and could be heard in our room. The neighbors were also yelling off the balcony until after midnight. In some hotels, you can control the fan on the heater and AC unit which helps with some noise dampening, however we were not able to do this in our room - once the temperature reached where it was set, it turned off. Unfortunately, the shower was not very hot, but we really were excited to see that the shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and body lotion were from our favorite brand Drybar. Parking was easy on the fifth and sixth floor of a parking garage, which was covered from the elements and connected to the hotel by elevators. We did not use the amenities like the pool, or rooftop bar. We did eat at a restaurant, VICE, that was at the lobby level and enjoyed the cocktails, but not the food. This hotel is in walking distance to much of downtown, including theaters, live music spaces, bars and restaurants. I will definitely consider booking this hotel again, as we are frequently in Buffalo for events.

My husband and I attended a wedding in the Forbes Theater. The setup was gorgeous, everything flowed so nicely, the staff were incredibly kind; Philip Johnson especially stuck out to me - he kept everything tidy and asked if I needed anything. Our meal was delicious as well. Great venue, great staff!

My room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The layout of the hotel is confusing and the common spaces are a bit cold (industrial) for my taste. Staff is friendly. Front desk seems understaffed. Would stay again for business.

Hailey was great at check in and with advice on where to eat when restaurant was full at hotel. Very pleasant and helpful! Bartenders at WXYZ bar were great as well. Very friendly and the service was great! Would definitely recommend and will be back.

It was a great atmosphere friendly people, staff. Clean and I forgot my room key several times and they never complained once or got upset with me.

Went to the celebrating innovation dinner at the Forbes Theater last night. The catering staff was phenomenal especially Phil Johnson who was very attentive to our needs. We were there as a vendor and he made our experience a great one. Excellent job!

The hotel staff is incredibly rude, condescending and unprofessional. I have been trying to confirm my reservation for the past two days. They keep saying their system is down and there is no management present to resolve this issue. I can’t believe that they are charging these rates for such a substandard hotel with such terrible customer service.

The hotel staff was awful. They didn’t explain anything about the hotel to us upon arrival. They made us feel like an inconvenience when we approached them. The housekeeper came in our room early morning on a non checkout day. The arcade was closed the first day, of the reasons for booking. The second day it didn’t open till 4:00 then it was very expensive to bowl. The arcade was fun. The rooms were very clean and we loved the decor and views. The glass wall window was amazing and the balcony was beautiful. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Close parking. Just rude staff. The only staff member that was decent was the bartender on the roof he let us in before they opened to see the view otherwise the rooftop was closed.
