Hotel Palacio Pujadas by Pandora Hoteles

Beautiful hotel in a historical building. The decor in both the public areas and the room is lovely. The attached bar and restaurant is both convenient and value for money. Our drinks and meal were delicious and the staff very friendly and professional.

The room we were assigned was on the top floor and windowless, which is highly unusual but since the room was beautifully decorated we overlooked that. Some of the floor coverings were badly damaged in places but again, the open plan room with a shower stall and tub in the main room we imagined some wet foot traffic was probably the culprit . Our problems began when my husband attempted to run a bath which we quickly discovered was flooding a large portion of the floor, with water squirting up through the very badly deteriorated floor boards. We advised the staff who brought a few towels and sopped up the water but the floorboards were completely saturated. We asked for another room but they were fully booked. They put down a very slippery blanket on the floor right by the door and suggested we leave it there. They obviously knew this was a problem but acted as though it was a surprise. At that time, we asked about the very noisy air conditioning unit and the staff indicated that this was completely normal and to put it on sleep mode where it would quiet down. In the end we didn’t sleep a wink because sleep mode shut off the A/C completely and the room became an oven in a short time with no windows for fresh air. Also not one towel rack in the room. Floor squished every time we stepped on it.

Beautifully restored hotel in the historic part of town. Many restaurants, bars and shops in a lively family community of people. Bathtub was great after a full day on the Camino.

4th floor room had a motor or something mechanical going all night long. Fortunately I had ear plugs so it didn't bother me.

We are walking the Camino and its HOT. We appreciate that our room was made available early. Thank you. Friendly staff at reception. 👍

Very noisy room. Air con makes a groaning sound and room also has a noise like rushing water. Room 301.
