The room, dinner, outstanding staff in the evening, helpful, friendly and solicitous. Exactly what we expected after a fantastic stay earlier in the year which we gave a well earned positive review. The hotel and the evening staff would easily have got another 5 star review from me.

The morning staff let it down. Coffee served in a dirty cup, no water jug available. Order was taken in a timely manner and food arrived and was very good. Member of staff then disappeared and despite waiting a long time to request more coffee, water and toast nobody came back. Eventually we gave up and left only to find said staff seated with another staff member out of sight of us chatting and would say we should have shouted, but that's not the service we expect and that was given the evening before.

Breakfast was great, everything you could want and even got a latte and choice of how we wanted eggs, very filling and tasted great too

Wi-Fi in my room kept dropping out but other than that everything was great

We were made to feel very welcome - the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. We had a really tasty dinner, a very comfortable night and an excellent breakfast.

Staff were excellent in ensuring we were looked after .. food was excellent, both breakfast and evening meal with a very good selection.

The staff were brilliant, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The pub was homely and welcomong. The room was clean and very comfortable. The food was outstanding and very good value for money!

The bed was so comfortable we missed breakfast! We will definitely return to try again.
