Tower Hotel

Good-sized room and bathroom. Really clean and freshly decorated. Lots of books! Owners friendly and helpful.

Shower head needed angled attachment to use in cubicle; otherwise good shower. Breakfast room a little tired.

A warm welcome and good breakfast, cooked to order. There were also cereal & toast options but I love a cooked breakfast when staying away. The location was handy for visiting Hay-on-Wye, so surprised the hotel wasn't fuller - just one straight drive away of c10mins in the car. We had a large bedroom and bed, with the option to eat at a table in the room if wanted. Plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits to use with the kettle in the room. Good shower & modern bathroom. Amazing bookcase on the landing, full of choices for all to enjoy a holiday read.

The parking was a bit confusing until we drove past the hotel and up the very steep hill at the side. Clearer signage would have helped but we had no problem getting parked once we found it. Hotel was quite dated but clean and would have preferred white towels rather than brown/pink.
