Alicante San Nicolás

The room was nice, shower and bathroom excellent, be aware, it is right in the middle of teh old town and at weekends the noise doesn't subside till around 3 am. The location however is brilliant if you want to be right amongst it. Breakfast is at a café a few metres away, orange juice, coffee or tea with a pastry or Tostada, basically toast with ham or cheese on. Very nice though.

Great location, apart from being in old town so towards weekend it will get very noisy until 4 or 5 am. We didn't meet Caroline as arrived late but you can tell the whole vibe is very friendly and professional. Lovely room, great tiling. Nice bed, towels etc. Nice to have kettle, coffee etc. Only there two nights but the communal kitchen with shelves for each room in the fridge is fantastic and there's a washing machine! Would 100%recommend

This place is amazing. Stayed with my wife and 7yo child. Great location - right behind the big church, so very easy to find. In the heart of downtown. Close to the beach and the castle. Close to food, museums, etc. Easy walk to the metro so you can get to other cities. Also close to the airport bus line too. You walk into a huge, clean building. Up one flight of stairs. You get three keys - one for building, one for hotel, and one for room. You can tell they put A LOT of detail into making the hotel and nice and tasteful as possible. They have coffee/tea, mini fridge, nice decor, nice accents, etc. They also have a community fridge/freezer. They even have beach toys and towels, books, universal chargers, etc. The lady was very thoughtful with telling us where to go to see certain things. She marked out on maps where some very cool things were. We stayed in a lot of hotels on this trip, and this is one we would DEFINITELY stay in again. Staying here made me feel like an Alicante local to be honest! Thank you!

Very loud at night… Staff was ok but not overly friendly. Our room was not cleaned daily although we put the sign out to clean the room. We expected a little more from how it was advertised and the reviews given. All over not the best experience I’ve had so far.

The front rooms are so loud it’s absolutely impossible to sleep. The noise goes all night and even with the windows closed fully (which makes the room very hot) the noise is horrendous. To share the bathroom is horrible. First the bedroom door sticks and is noisy to open which wakes your partner. Then you have to use a key to unlock the bathroom then put the key in the other side to lock it then lock it again. The linen was horrible and the women who run it are also horrible

Petite pension très bien située dans le vieux Alicante à 10 petites minutes de marche de l'arrêt de bus de l'aéroport et a proximité immédiate de nombreux restaurants et points touristiques. Accueil sympathique avec la patronne qui parle français. Chambre confortable. Attention. Située au 1 er étage et pas d'ascenseur si vous êtes à mobilité réduite. Petit déjeuner disponible dans un établissement à proximité.

We enjoyed staying here very much, and Caroline, the proprietor, made every effort to make our stay pleasant and easy to manage. The bedroom was clean and offers a quiet outlook onto an enclosed courtyard, Kitchen facilities were good, and some useful goods such as shave foam and hand cream, available to use. Recommended.

I got what I paid for. The main thing is the location - right next to the beach. A cheap stay in a central location.

Great location but the rooms can use a refresh

After booking the correspondence from Catherine regarding information re taxi/bus and access to the Pension was excellent. We arrived at 0100hrs and the instruction (including foolproof video) ensured no issue on arrival. The pension is immaculate with all facilities we required use of fridge, cutlery and crockery etc. The shower was excellent and the bathroom had a fitted hairdryer. The pension is situated in the heart of the city immediately behind the cathedral within easy walking distance to the beach, Santa Cruz and both castles (a steep walk to both as you'd expect). An abundance of bars and restaurants to suit all budgets. Highly recommend 👌
