The design of the hotel

I’m glad I only booked for one night, after making the reservation I messaged the property to inquire about price on driver for a day. The owner messaged back driver and guide total is $50 USD, i thought that’s a super good deal but the owner NEVER mentioned that guide can’t not be driver, so basically I got charged for double price just to have someone take from point A to point B. The hotel is nice but I didn’t like that I had to pay overpriced for driver , better to get local taxi service is half price less , so don’t believe that it’s such a thing the drive ACT as guide , it’s NOT allowed. You must have a guide and a driver , I wish I have took the local taxi to Punakha instead but I used the hotel taxi because I wanted to help their business, and I was being push to use the guide even I have said I don’t want a guide but ended up paying another 1000 for a guide only showed me to 2 places and I had to pay 500 in each place for entry, it’s hard to believe Bhutan is the happiest country for tourists, I didn’t like that I don’t have freedom, and they take you to tourist place for lunch, when I told them I don’t need the driver anymore they still asked me to pay for the return trip, I was disrespectful the way how things end , I want planning to stay one more day in T because I didn’t see NOTHING but still Charged for $50, that’s a lot of money. Overall Bhutan is very expensive but don’t use hotel taxi , use local taxi or just book a package in advance.

I had a fantastic stay at the kisa villa thimpu.. the highlight was definitely the breathtaking view. ..waking up to the stunning scenery every morning is unforgettable.The place is good,very quiet and a good place to relax and unwind. Rooms are clean and super airy. I would recommend KISA VILLA to anyone looking for a scenic getaway and relaxing getaway 😍

Gorgeous south facing windows that let in the sun, comfortable beds, great staff

Just a bit too far to walk to the city center, but easy 5 min access with a taxi. And they don’t accept cards unlike what it says on Booking.com (cash only)

It is a nice and cozy place to stay.. Not crowded locality.. Peaceful and with a nice view of the Valley.
